MOVEMENT RESEARCH AND PERFORMANCE PROJECTS

“Change the Story” continues! And a new performance piece about religion has begun. The thesis is complete, but our movement research continues and our fundraising goal is still in process. Please visit our GoFundMe site:

OUR CURRENT MOVEMENT RESEARCH
Amanda And Sara continue to develop their side-by-side solo pieces. “Change the Story” is divided into two parts. In Part 1: “Girl Messages” and Part 2: “When I Grow Up”,  we explore the kinds of messages we received and internalized as children, and how changing the story changes our experience in the world. Concerts have been presented in Kalamazoo, MI; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; and Salt Lake City, UT. Amanda also presented a class on this topic at the NDEO conference in 2017.

In addition, Amanda and Sara have teamed up with Katherine Call to develop a new piece about how their childhood experiences with religion have shaped their lives. First showing was on Feb. 9, 2019, in Salt Lake City.
